Zambia

Zambia is a synonym for many things ending with -ness: openness, vastness and wilderness. This is the birthplace and the place-to-be for hour-long walking safaris through an unfenced and untouched wildlife paradise, past the shores of the Zambezi, through large trees, thick bush and endless plains.
OVERVIEW

There is only one focus in Zambia: wildlife experiences. Little is known of the shy neighbour of Zimbabwe, but this large country – one of the safest in Africa – is a powerhouse when it comes to an African safari. The two most famous national parks and areas are the Luangwa River Valley (you might have seen it in a National Geographic documentary before) and the Lower Zambezi National Park.

The first is well-known for its large lion prides taking on even larger herds of buffalo or even the occasional hippo, while the latter is a beautiful wonderland between wildlife-packed shore lines and bushveld. The South Luangwa region is especially famous for walking safaris from camp to camp, the ultimate wildlife experience.

Naturally, we will also take you to the parks and reserves that are off-the-beaten track, namely the vast Kafue National Park and the Liuwa Plain. Kafue is so big that you suddenly think the whole country is just one big game reserve, brimming with elephants, lion, leopard, plains game, giraffes and many more.

Liuwa Plain is home to the second largest wildebeest migration and only two a handful of lodges, which makes it the least frequented with tourists. Lastly, the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls around Livingstone are the perfect place to unwind and reflect on all the beautiful impressions. We at AMADI are happy to combine your Africa tour with your Kenya travel and Tanzania travel plans.
