YOUR JOURNEY

Cape Town

3 Nights

You arrive in Cape Town, the mother of South Africa’s cities, which will embrace you with a unique fusion of culture and cuisine. Home to the monumental Table Mountain, award-winning wine farms, beaches and a Mediterranean climate, not to mention it is also one of the gourmet capitals of the world. The city centre and small leafy neighbourhoods are easy to explore on foot or by car. Soak up the sun on the sandy beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay, browse through the hip boutiques on Kloof Street or check out some street art in Woodstock. If you want to taste some great South African wine, head over to the southern suburb of Constantia. Oh, and don’t leave Cape Town without hiking up Table Mountain or Lion’s Head, of course.

Cape Winelands

2 Nights

You cannot leave the Western Cape without venturing out into the Cape Winelands. Arguably one of the most beautiful wine areas in the world, the three pretty towns of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl are surrounded by hundreds of picturesque wine farms. This is a heaven for food lovers, wine connoisseurs or admirers of  pure natural beauty. You can find anything here from historic Cape Dutch working farms to ultramodern architectural masterpieces, but almost all of them offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Don’t miss South Africa’s second oldest town, Stellenbosch, with its famous university, small shops and cafés. Franschhoek is the posh sister with some world-class restaurants and art galleries.

Kalahari

3 Nights

The Kalahari stretches from Namibia across South Africa to Botswana and is as diverse as it is beautiful. It can be savanna, it can be moon-like salt pans, it can be waterfalls, it can be a semi-desert. You will discover the latter: a vast piece of land – the largest private game reserve in South Africa – characterized by grasslands, red sand and beautiful rock formations. This is the antidote of civilization and you can look forward to complete exclusivity and tranquility. The experience here is not so much about ticking off the Big Five (we will get to that in the Kruger), but more about the sheer beauty of nature and the rare species you will find here. On night drives, or maybe even during a sleepout in the desert – you might be able to spot aardvarks or pangolins. There are plenty of activities to keep you active during the day as well like game drives, nature walks or horse riding.
