Wildlife-Packed East Africa

Wildlife-Packed East Africa

Wildlife-Packed East Africa

Seemingly endless savannah, the occasional acacia tree and boulders serving as lookout points for big cats. What might seem like a scene from the Lion King is reality in East Africa. Experience the highlights of this picture perfect wildlife paradise from our handpicked lodges with the best design, cuisine, service and views.
OVERVIEW

For many it’s just a starting point, but if you like coffee and a bit of history, you will love Arusha. After one night here your East Africa safari – safari being the Swahili word for journey by the way – begins in the Ngorongoro Crater. Tens of thousands of plains game, elephants, rhinos and cats congregate in this natural enclosure and feast on the lush green or each other.

You will then travel onto the famous Serengeti, home to the eternities of vast grass plains and the Great Migration. We invite you to feel like an explorer in your tented accommodation surrounded by nothing but wilderness. You will explore the surroundings on game drives and will be treated to the some of the greatest cinema mother nature has to offer. Apart from the myriad of animals you can observe here, there is something in the air in the Serengeti, making this is truly special place.

Venturing on, you will cross the border to Kenya and spend your last few nights in the equally famous Masai Mara region. This you would’ve seen those scenes of wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara river and crocodiles lurking below.  With a bit of luck and depending on the season, you will witness one of Africa’s most bewildering spectacles.

The Masai Mara is one of nature’s most famous stages; be prepared for epic struggles between predator and prey and being a first-hand witness to the circle of life, especially in the times of the Great Migration (seasonal). This is when over a million wildebeest, zebra and other antelope look for greener pastures and cross the mighty Mara River with huge Nile Crocodiles lurking below. Similar to the Serengeti, no matter whether you have come for the Great Migration or not, the beauty of the landscape and wealth in wildlife is enchanting all year. As the name suggests, this is also home to one of Africa’s most famous and gracious tribes, the Masaai.
